Allianz corporate appoints Whitehouse as regional head of marine

Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty (AGCS) has appointed Andrew Whitehouse as regional unit head of marine in London. He will report to Brian Kirwan, AGCS UK chief executive officer and Paul O’Neill global head of marine and energy.

Whitehouse has been with AGCS since 2010 when he joined as a senior cargo underwriter and was subsequently promoted to the head of cargo in 2011.

AGCS said that in his six years with the company Whitehouse has been “fundamental in growing the portfolio and creating a strong Marine team”. In addition to his role within Allianz Whitehouse is also a member of the Lloyds Market Joint Cargo Committee.

Kirwan said: “Andrew has been a key member of the Marine team and I am pleased to see him move into this new role. Through his knowledge of the market and experience I know he is the ideal person to lead the team.”

O’Neill said: “I am personally delighted that Andrew has chosen to accept this position. He is the right person to continue on the good work in London and help navigate the challenging market conditions that we currently face.”
