Lurssen and Rolls-Royce have strengthened their partnership.

Lürssen and engine maker Rolls-Royce have deepened their partnership to streamline the overhaul of mtu propulsion systems.

The Bremen, Germany-based shipyard and Rolls-Royce’s Power Systems division will work even more closely to speed up and simplify procedures, reducing the time required for work on propulsion systems – mostly mtu Series 4000 engines.

In addition, the agreement will ensure Rolls-Royce specialists can be more quickly deployed to the shipyard, while Lürssen technicians will be trained to carry out certain work.
