Pocket superyacht CROSSOVER 27 aims to solve ‘an industry wide problem’
The newest project by Lynx Yachts, CROSSOVER 27, true to its name is a pocket-superyacht aiming to meet the requirements of active superyachting by merging the capabilities of a support vessel and explorer yacht. The yacht is due for delivery in 2022, and Lynx Yachts said it launched the project in order to fill a niche in the market which has emerged following the growth in the trend for exploration.
The concept vessel draws on the shipbuilder’s ADVENTURE 29 yacht and its shadow vessel, YXT 24 Evolution. “It is the first project of a new yacht category that we have conceived to respond to a growing market demand in recent years for an intermediate model between an explorer and a support vessel,” said the Netherlands-based builder.
Lynx added the yacht, with a length of 27.4 metres and a beam of 7.1 metres, has been designed to meet the needs of “a very sporty owner who loves water sports”.
“She offers large space and great practicality to carry all the toys and amenities an owner would want, as well as providing more space and comfort to live onboard with family and friends for long periods,” Lynx said.
The interior layout of CROSSOVER 27 offers a master cabin, two guest cabins and accommodation for four crew in two further cabins. The main interior features a saloon and direct access to the main deck, which is substantial at 70–square–metres once toys have been launched.
The sundeck on the vessel will be equipped with a crane and will house two Yamaha Wave runners and two Jetskis. The main deck will house an Air Nautique 21 tender and a five-metre RIB. The lazarette provides more space for water sports equipment such as Stand Up Paddleboards, surfboards, canoes, and scuba diving equipment.
Lynx plans to introduce a range of variations to this first blueprint for the CROSSOVER 27 series, enabling owners to customise their vessels.
