Research Expedition Vessel from VARD to Rosellinis Four-10 - No 2

Global Yachting Group (GYG) has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with the owner of commercial shipyard Vard’s upcoming REV 182 – the largest research and expedition vessel in build – to fair and paint the vessel.

GYG will supply filler and paint systems for the yacht’s exterior. Work is scheduled to start in 2019 and is the third explorer vessel that GYG has been contracted to work on in the last two years.

Remy Millott, chief executive of GYG, said: “We are delighted to be working on the build of the world’s largest-ever explorer vessel with the REV 182 team. The decision to enter into this agreement with GYG as the fairing and painting contractor for this prestigious project further underpins the Group as the market leader in the emerging explorer sector.”

Vard REV 182 is designed by Espen Øino and is expected to launch in 2020. It features 14 cabins and can accommodate up to 28 guests and a core research crew of 30.
