AMELS sells new 55 metre AMELS 180
Dutch Shipyard AMELS has sold a new 55-metre AMELS 180.
The AMELS 180 is set to be delivered in Summer 2018. The buyer was represented by Burgess senior sales broker Peter Brown. He said: ‘’It has been a pleasure working with AMELS on the sale of this Limited Editions yacht and we now eagerly anticipate the delivery of what will be a truly spectacular yacht.’’
This AMELS 180 is the latest build in the luxury builder’s Limited Editions range, which includes the AMELS 188 which was sold in September last year and four other models.
Exterior designer Tim Heywood designed the yacht, along with the five other Limited Editions range yachts. Yacht designer Laura Sessa was chosen by the owner to provide the yachts “classic high-gloss finishes”. She is also outfitting the upcoming Lurssen Fiji which is due to launch in 2019.
“This new yacht beautifully highlights the advantages of our Limited Editions approach to yacht building,” said AMELS Commercial Director Rose Damen.
“The AMELS 180 has been the world’s best-selling 55-metre yacht design since 2007, and we’ve been able to do that through constantly evolving and introducing new features. We can’t wait to see her on the water with her owner later this year.”
The standout feature on this AMELS 180 is the extended 28-metre sundeck, an impressive length for a 55 metre yacht. It also features a folding balcony, and two balconies on the main deck to provide easy open-air access.
AMELS has sold more than 30 Limited Edition superyachts in the 55 to 83 metre range.
