SEA Index awarded environmental innovation label
The SEA Index carbon assessment tool for superyachts has been awarded the CAPENERGIES label recognising innovation and economic potential.
The tool, developed with the Yacht Club de Monaco, measures the energy intensity and carbon emissions of superyachts over 25 metres, using manufacturer data and custom equipment onboard.

The index aims to help the owners, manufacturers and the wider superyacht industry to prioritise best practices and reduce their environmental impact.
“This recognition inspires us to continue developing neutral tools that help yachting stakeholders make informed decisions when buying, selling and chartering yachts,” said Bernard d’Alessandri, vice president, Superyacht Eco Association and general secretary, Yacht Club de Monaco.

The CAPENERGIES label is decided by an independent 12-person committee which assesses projects for innovation, market potential and economic impact.
The Superyacht Eco Association is an initiative of the Yacht Club de Monaco and is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in the yachting industry.
