Lizard Yacht Service expands to Fort Lauderdale

UK based Lizard Yacht Service has expanded to the US with the opening of a new office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The new office will be headed by experienced engineer, Freddy Quintero.

The superyacht maintenance firm said the move to Fort Lauderdale was in response to growing demand for maintenance services in the region and the recently announced plans for new marina developments by the city.

According to Emlyn Jones, founder and MD, Lizard Yacht Service, the company is poised to take advantage of growing demand in the Sunshine State. “This is a really exciting development for us. The superyacht industry is continuing to grow worldwide. Superyacht customers have very exacting requirements and we have built our company ethos around delivering the stellar levels of customer service they expect.”

Quintero said he is delighted to join the team and bring the firm’s services to the superyacht hub.

Founded by Emlyn Jones in 2021, Lizard Yacht Service provides on-site engineering and fitting services for superyachts, as well as sourcing parts.

The Cornwall based firm also has an office in Palma, Spain and secured maintenance projects in Antigua and Turkey. It is also the sole European distributor of the SeaClean System.

“The superyacht industry is driven by ongoing innovation, and we are focussed on delivering levels of service that set new standards for the industry,” said Jones.
