HFW boosts London partners with Joy hire

Joy has been appointed as partner at HFW in London.

Global law firm HFW has boosted its yacht and jet practices with the addition of Toby Joy as a partner in its London office.

Joy advises on a range of luxury asset transactions with a focus on the acquisition, finance and structuring of superyachts and private jets.

He is qualified in England and Wales as well as the BVI. He joins the firm from Withers, where he led the  European luxury assets practice.

HFW’s sixth new partner in London in 2026, joining Guy Marrison (aviation disputes), Simon Petch (ship finance) and Oliver Tebbit (aviation finance) alongside the internal promotions of Mark Waters (aviation disputes) and Tanya Chadha (construction).
