Azimut expands in south east asia

Azmiut Yachts announced a new partnership strategy for its Asian network today.

Whilst Simpson Marine has been the exclusive dealer for Azimut Yacht’s Asian market for the past 28 years, Azimut Yachts will now focus on a single-brand partnership strategy. Building on the brand’s presence in South East Asia, the company will soon launch Azimut Yachts Hong Kong and Azimut Yachts Singapore to provide all-around assistance from the purchase of a yacht to a dedicated after sales services.

Mike Simpson, Managing Director of Simpson Marine, said: “We are proud to have represented Azimut Yachts in Asia for almost three decades. While our business strategies no longer align, I am confident that we will both continue to grow and develop as leading brands in the Asian yachting industry.”

Thanking Simpson Marine, Marco Valle, Azimut Yachts Sales Director, said: “Our strategy moving forward is to set up new dealership network based on local partnerships fully committed and focused on Azimut Yachts only, in order to give to our customers the best service and yachting experience. We are convinced that this is the key to succeeding and reconfirming our leadership in Asia.”

Azimut Yachts was the first Western shipyard to have an established representation in China, in late 80’s and credits Simpson Marine for helping to build the brand within the Asian market.
