Third Bering 65 ‘Golden Mile’ launched
Turkish shipyard Bering has launched the third production hull of its 65 motoryacht ‘Golden Mile’.
The vessel has been tailored to fit the needs of an “experienced ocean-crossing voyager”, Bering said. The client is a Korean yachtsman and fisherman looking for an ‘over-engineered’ and powerful explorer vessel.
The yacht features three staterooms with en-suite, a crew quarters for two and a large wheelhouse, positioned at the bow.
Alexei Mikhailov – co-founder and CEO of Bering Yachts said: “I have been following the construction progress on B65 Golden Mile since the beginning, and I can definitely say that this is a one of a kind project.
“The 65 model is among my favourite Bering’s, boosting explorer capabilities combined with a smart and practical layout. After the successful launch of the first two 65’s – Namaste and Serge, I am certain that this boat model is real a success and we will continue building it for customers who are in search for a rugged steel explorer yacht.”
Golden Mile has a displacement of over 236,000lbs and a fuel capacity of 4,500 gallons. She runs at eight gallons per hour at eight knots with a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
The vessel will be debuting at this years Cannes Festival from 12-17 September and will be available for inspection at the show.
