The Italian Sea Group and Giorgio Armani reveal 72m Admiral superyacht
The Italian Sea Group (TISG) and Giorgio Armani have revealed the design of a 72m (236ft) superyacht. The customised yacht is currently under construction by TISG’s Admiral brand.
The project, initially launched in 2020, was developed by Giorgio Armani (pictured far right), chairman and CEO, Armani Group and his Armani/Casa interior design team. The exterior was also designed by the Italian luxury designer and TISG’s Admiral Style Centre.
“The sea and design are two of my greatest passions,” said Armani. “With this new collaboration, I have extended my idea of furnishing and decor to the nautical world, in which – just as in fashion – aesthetics and functionality come together in a natural and elegant style.”
This yacht is the first of two designed entirely by the Italian designer. Armani said that the interior design of the yacht is intended to give the effect of being “seamlessly immersed in light and the surrounding environment
“This highly stimulating project has allowed me to create customised spaces with Armani/Casa – like made-to-measure clothing – with the same craftsmanship applied to the choice of materials, details and production,” he said.
Giovanni Costantino (pictured second from right), founder and CEO, TISG said: “Giorgio Armani is synonymous with timeless elegance and sophistication, and his stylistic vision has also increased our stylistic sensitivity,” he said. “This new yacht is projected to be positioned as a stylistic benchmark, also given the countless comments and regards we’ve received from various industry players.”
Costantino added that it enforces TISG’s business model of building customised superyachts in line with the owner’s vision.
The yacht is expected for delivery early next year.
