Tankoa reveals new S533 yacht
Italian shipyard Tankoa has revealed a new S533 planing yacht, Saetta.
Saetta comes in at 53 metres, with a maximum beam of 9.2 metres, and is the latest of Tankoa’s planing family – the Tankoa 58 Open was launched last year.
Designed by Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski, the Saetta’s stand-out feature is her large glass windows, giving guests an unobstructed view of the sea. The large open areas on aft and bow also give a full view of the surroundings.
She is powered by three MTU 16V 200 M94L water jets and is able to reach an impressive top speed of 28 knots. At a cruising speed of 24 knots, Saetta’s maximum range is 600 miles. This is doubled to 1,200 miles when she cruises at 17 knots.
“Tankoa S533 represents a leap forward, a glimpse of the future,” said Paszkowski. “The evolution of the path we have followed up to now with the new project for Tankoa, a yard that we are proud to work with, combines speed with solidity, cleanliness of lines and forms with dynamic lightness. The extensive use of glass was adopted to bring in the sea, and the essentially characterising the exterior styling amplifies this sensation of an endless horizon.”
