SYI London 2022: Diversity and inclusion in yachting

Diversity and inclusivity in the superyacht sector came under the spotlight at our Superyacht Investor London 2022 conference. Jenny Matthews, founder of diversity organisations She of the Sea and Legasea, shared recent research documenting progress in the sector.

The latest research revealed improving diversity among superyacht crews and highlighted the importance of sustainability, crew well-being and the importance of monitoring such metrics.

Matthews’ passion for promoting diversity comes from personal experience. After nearly a decade in the industry, Matthews realised she had never worked with another female in the deck department before. This inspired her to launch diversity organisations She of the Sea and Legasea. Superyacht Investor London 2022 conference took place at the Hilton London Tower Bridge on May 16th and 17th.
