Superyacht shipyard, Sunreef Yachts has opened a new office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Located in Palm Jumeirah, the office is based in the Palm Marina West. The Polish yacht builder said that the new office was opened in a bid to strengthen the company’s presence in the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

“Our shipyard is on a mission to shape the future of responsible boating,” said Francis Lapp, founder and president, Sunreef Yachts. “This new office is an important step on this journey. Here, a growing team of professionals from all fields will help us further develop our vision and reach new horizons.”

Lapp added that the Dubai team will be a “yachting think tank”, tasked with creating new trends and creative solutions to develop the firm’s concept of “responsible yachting”. This refers to minimising a yacht’s carbon footprint by using sails and solar energy.

“We can only push things forward if we challenge ourselves, engage in a creative debate and exchange ideas. This office will be the perfect environment for this,” said Lapp.

Sunreef Yachts specialises in the build of hybrid sailing-motor yachts.
