British shipbuilder, Princess Yachts, has launched its all-new 29-metre X95 luxury yacht from its Plymouth shipyard. The motoryacht is the first off the product line for the new X range and its “super flybridge design” is being marketed by Princess as a “luxury SUV of the seas”.

Designed in conjunction with naval architect, Bernard Olensinski, and Italian designers, Pininfarina, the X95’s creators have aimed to maximise space onboard with extensive outdoor space and open plan living within. The vessel is powered by two MAN V12 engines producing 1900mhp each enabling the X95 to cruise between 24-26 knots.

Princess Yachts executive chairman Antony Sheriff said: “The X95 breaks the mould of traditional yacht design. The unique open plan architecture is brought to life through our design partnership with the legendary styling house Pininfarina. This leap forward in space and versatility mirrors recent innovations from luxury automotive brands which have developed crossover models.”

The X95 was debuted as a full-size deck mock-up at January’s Dusseldorf Boat Show. She is able to sleep up to six guests across three guestrooms not including the full beam master stateroom with an ensuite. There is also ample living quarters for four crew also situated on lower deck.

According to Princess Yachts: “In her distinct form, we see characteristics from the recently-launched Princess R35, with the similar Italian design making a statement. The X95 is not trying to fit in – she is unique and doesn’t follow the crowd. Her open-concept layout allows you to tailor your yacht to your guests and their experience on board, and with a fuel capacity of 13,400 litres, the X95 has the range to take you on long-reaching adventurous voyages.”
