Investec Wealth & Investment launches Private Office
Investec Wealth & Investment (IW&I) has launched Private Office, a specialised service for business owners, entrepreneurs and investor with a net worth of at least £10 million.
Investec conducted extensive market research which indicated that the entrepreneurial high net worth market was, though fast-growing, largely “under-represented”.
The launch of Private Office offers the range of services – both onshore and offshore – currently only available to clients with a significantly higher net worth. These include bespoke discretionary portfolio management, wealth structuring, private banking, financial planning, corporate finance and banking, philanthropy advice, foreign exchange and institutional brokerage.
Private Office will be headed by Andrew Butler-Cassar and a growing team of 19. Butler-Cassar is an experienced HNWI investment specialist and has been on Investec’s board since 2006.
Butler-Cassar said: “Private Office addresses a clear market need for an integrated service targeting successful entrepreneurs and business owners, the sports and media sectors and those specialising in alternative finance such as private equity or hedge funds. These are often time-poor and sophisticated individuals looking for a single access point to meet their financial objectives.
“The team behind Private Office has the experience and professionalism needed to ensure that higher-net-worth individuals and their families receive the very highest quality service and advice. It’s part of our DNA at Investec.”
