Intellian signs partnership with Speedcast

Satellite antenna and terminal provider Intellian has signed a multi-million-dollar partnership agreement with fellow connectivity company Speedcast. The deal aims to allow the companies to better serve the superyacht and other maritime markets with satellite connectivity.

As part of the agreement, Intellian will supply equipment to Speedcast, such as low earth orbit (LEO) antenna systems and land-based antennas. Intellian will continue to maintain and upgrade the hardware across Speedcast’s customer base during the multi-year partnership.

According to Intellian, the upcoming launch of its new factory in Pyeongtaek, South Korea will boost production and capacity.

Speedcast is a communications and IT services provider of worldwide coverage using a hybrid satellite, fibre, cellular, microwave, MPLS, and IP transport network. It serves more than 3,200 customers worldwide with 30 Gbps of total bandwidth.
