European shipbuilder YYachts is expanding its international reach by partnering with brokers in North and Central America. The German shipyard specialises in 70-100ft (21-30m) carbon sailing yachts and is now collaborating with dealers in Mexico and the US west and east coast to expand its client base.

YYachts’ interests in the growing Mexican superyacht market are represented by Zarpo Yachts in Mexico City. Founded in 2015, Zarpo Yachts is now an established broker in Central America, led by company founder, Javier Navarro, who has over a decade of experience in the yachting industry.

“It is great to see how our yachts are now present all over the world,” said Dirk Zademack, managing partner of YYachts. “The new, strong partners in the US and Mexico will certainly give us an even stronger boost.”

West coast brokerage Jeff Brown also holds ‘Preferred Partner’ status with YYachts. Company founder, Jeff Brown, has been in the yacht industry for nearly 30 years. ‘Preferred Partner’ status refers to brokers YYachts holds as trusted ambassadors of the company’s brand abroad.

The European shipbuilder is now being represented by naval architect and broker, Bill Tripp III in Canada and on the east coast of the US. He has run design firm and brokerage, Tripp Design Naval Architecture since 1984 and was also the designer of the Y7 and Y9 (pictured) yachts.

“I’m a great believer in YYachts,” said Tripp. “They build really good boats, and I like the idea of bringing these to the US for people to have the pleasure of easy sailing, fast sailing and luxury. It’s a great combination.”
