Winch Design has signed a contract to design both the exterior and interior of a 262ft (80m) superyacht. Set to be delivered in 2025, the vessel will be built by German shipyard Nobiskrug.

The new build will be designed by London-based Winch Design in collaboration with the owner’s team of advisers. The project will provide large entertainment areas with high ceilings and a beach club offering plenty of scope for innovative design, according to the design company.

Jim Dixon, managing partner and creative director at Winch Design said, “The Winch Design team are delighted to be continuing our long-standing partnerships with both Cecil Wright and Nobiskrug, to create and deliver another incredibly exciting superyacht.

Broker Chris Cecil-Wright, founder, Cecil Wright, and the owners selected the German shipbuilders due to its specialisation in large custom-built superyachts. “Nobiskrug is known for pushing the boundaries in design and construction techniques along with a bespoke approach,” he said.

The Cecil Wright team will continue to act as a representative and construction supervisor between the owner and the shipyard.

We see this build as the beginning of a long-term relationship with Nobiskrug and it further cements our industry standing as experts in Northern European yacht building,” said Cecil-Wright

Cecil Wright and Winch Design have previously worked on several superyacht projects, including 324ft (99m) Madame Gu, built by the Dutch Feadship yard in Makkum, Holland.
