Northrop & Johnson will exclusively sell two of Wider’s yachts in a new partnership. The brokerage has the sole sales and management rights of the two models in North America.

The two models, both at 170ft (52m) and 210ft (64m), currently make up the shipbuilder’s superyacht range. Joe Foggia is named as the choice yacht broker for the vessels.

“Northrop & Johnson’s network is unsurpassed in the industry and a major reason why we decided to work so closely with them,” said Marcello Maggi, president of W-Fin Sarl, the holding company that owns Wider.

Wider’s plans to strengthen its superyacht division is furthered by its new facility in Venice, Italy, which will exclusively build superyachts. Design and engineering for the vessels are also done in-house with Centro Stile Wider.

Maggi added that this partnership with Northrop & Johnson mirrors the one Wider recently entered into with its owner, MarineMax, as the broker of Wider’s catamarans in North America.

With more than 100 locations worldwide, MarineMax is one of the largest boat dealerships in the world.

The American boat supplier has been busy this year. Last month the company secured loans of $1.35bn to support its growth. It used $400m of this to finance the cash acquisition of IGY Marinas.
