Waypoints Yacht Charters has acquired Virgin Islands-based CYOA Yacht Charters and will take over its Frenchtown, St. Thomas base.

Kirstie Palmer, president and partner at Waypoints Yacht Charters, said: “The convenience of the St. Thomas base makes it a perfect location for the unique charter experience Waypoints offers. We’re excited to expand our exceptional charters and the finest fleet in the Caribbean to a wider market.”

With the addition of a St. Thomas base, Waypoints clients have access to a central location for chartering throughout the Virgin Islands.

The acquisition follows Waypoints’ opening of its British Virgin Islands base location in November, 2021. Last year, the company also acquired Sailing Florida Charters & Sailing School, a charter company operating in St. Petersburg, Florida. These locations joined the existing Waypoints Annapolis base.

Waypoints has a variety of yachts available for charter at each location including new-model sailing catamarans, sailing monohulls, power catamarans, and powerboats from manufacturers such as Fountaine Pajot and Dufour.
