Tankoa sells its first S501

Italian shipyard Tankoa has announced the sale of its first 50 metre S501 after its introduction at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2014.

The construction on this 49.9 metre yacht will commence early in April 2015 and is scheduled for delivery to a French owner in April 2017.

Project S501 was one of the first initiatives resulting of the partnership between Tankoa and Yacht-Ology right after Karsenti contracted S693 that will be delivered in August 2015.

Michael Karsenti, CEO of Yacht-Ology, said “we are extremely proud that the client, his surveyor and broker, Daniel Bussani from Aquila Yachting, decided Tankoa was the most suitable shipyard to built his new yacht after investigating a number of European builders”

Tankoa’s management team and Karsenti worked closely with designer Francesco Paszkowski to replicate the type of amenities and equipment commonly found on much larger yachts. This will include six cabins, a 7 metre tender garage, hydraulic balconies, a gym and a home cinema.

S501 will be entirely built in aluminium light alloy 5083.

Tankoa S501 was officially presented last September at the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show. Other negotiations are under way for various projects ranging from 50 to 80 meters.
