Pearl Yachts reveals the Pearl 80
UK shipyard Pearl Yachts has revealed a new 24-metre motoryacht, the Pearl 80.
Pearl 80 comes in at 23.9 metres, with a beam of six metres and a displacement of 55 tonnes. She has a top speed of 35 knots and cruises at 25 knots up to a range of 300 nautical miles.
The vessel looks to appeal to American buyers and “sun worshippers”, featuring a larger-than-average deck space for its size and three external dining areas.
Ian Smallridge, managing director of Pearl Yachts, said: “The Pearl 80, with her luxurious and spacious interiors, generous deck space and easily handling, is perfect for our American audience and we look forward to showing her off fully at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.”
Collaborative effort
The vessel is a collaboration between naval architect Bill Dixon and designer Kelly Hoppen. Dixon was responsible for the hull design and exterior styling.
He said: “Apart from the obvious attributes of style and performance, the Pearl 80 wins by being adventurous in design.”
The yacht features three alternative interior designs from Hoppen – the studio, taupe and luxury options – that owners will be able to choose between when purchasing the vessel.
Hoppen has collaborated with Pearl on a number of projects, including the Pearl 65, 75 and 95 models. She said: “I am delighted to collaborate with Pearl Yachts once again, and proud to be part of creating a design that I believe will stand the test of time.”
