Numarine has sold the first hull from its new 78HTS range.

The Sportfly Yacht, which is an evolution of the 78HT model unveiled in May, has been bought by a client from Hong Kong and will be used in the US.

It features a new sport flybridge with central upper helm station and four sunpads with tilt/recline backrests.

Numarine sales and marketing director Antonio Caviglia said: “Hull number one of our new 78HTS was sold thanks to the teamwork of the Numarine dealer network. This special yacht will incorporate some significant customisations that we will divulge when we launch her in late summer of 2018.”

The new 78HTS model has a system of lithium-ion batteries along with smart energy management and intelligent multi-stage air conditioning systems, which enable its owner to enjoy complete silence while at anchor and at night. Numarine says that, as a result, the yacht is “probably the quietest series-built yacht in her class today”, with 66dB in the lower deck area at cruise speed.

The 78HTS is also fitted with standard twin MAN V8 1200hp engines, but this first vessel will have the more powerful twin MAN V-12 1550hp engine, which will give it a maximum speed of about 37 knots and a cruising speed of about 27 knots. It has a range of 400 nautical miles.
