IAG delivers a King Baby
IAG Yachts and Atlantic Yacht and Ship, Inc have announced the launch and delivery of the 140 foot custom built superyacht, King Baby.
“This all began as an idea on a napkin over 3 years ago” said Doug Hoog, IAG’s representative in Ft. Lauderdale. “I was approached by my good friend and a long time yacht broker, Joe Marino, owner of Atlantic Yacht and Ship and also an early pioneer in building yachts in Asia several decades in the past.”
Joe Marino had a client from New York who had expressed interested in building the largest fiberglass superyacht at IAG Yachts in Zhuhai, China.
The overriding mantra during this project has been “quality, quality, quality,” said Tim Kings, the project manager for the build.
King Baby will arrive in September to Fort Lauderdale and debut at the International Boat Show in November.
IAG Yachts has been building large Class and MCA approved yachts since 2007. Since then, the shipyard have delivered two 69.3 metre superyachts to the United States.
