AMELS unveils 188 project
AMELS revealed the design for their 188 project at the Monaco Yacht Show last week.
The engineering phase of the 57.70 metre yacht, designed by Tim Heywood, is almost complete. It will use hybrid electrical power.
The AMELS 188 is the sixth vessel to join the Limited Editions 55 to 83 metre range and the shipyard has reported “a number of serious enquiries”.
“Our clients have been tremendously excited about this yacht,” said Rob Luijendijk, Managing Director. “If you look at the 55-metre AMELS 180 and the 60-metre AMELS 199, they are both unique and very successful designs. The 57.70-metre AMELS 188 fits perfectly between these two yachts, bringing something entirely new to a market segment that we have traditionally show leadership in.”
