46m project under construction at Vitters
Netherlands-based manufacturer Vitters has recently announced that delivery of Project 3072 is scheduled for autumn 2015.
The 46 metre fast cruising yacht is currently under construction at the shipyard.
This is the first yacht to be built by Vitters Shipyard to a design by Argentinian designer Germán Frers. Project 3072 is primarily created as a cruiser, but construction teams have worked with the owner to enhance its performance and sailing abilities.
A novelty in Project 3072’s design will be its retractable pods for propulsion. The vessel will also replicate a headsail storage system that was first installed on Vitters’ 66 metre Aglaia featuring two sail stowing drums placed under the foredeck.
