Freefall 73.5-metre superyacht enters sea trials

Launched in December 2015 the new 73.5-metre Amels 242 has just completed its first sea trials just of the manufacturer’s yard in Viissingen in The Netherlands.

Called Freefall, the vessel was designed by Tim Heywood and brokered by Florida-headquartered Moran Yacht & Ship. It is expected to be delivered to its new owner in April. The superyacht is the first of three being constructed at the shipyard. It is now working on the second hull of the series, project 7402, which was recently sold to her owner, and is on schedule to be delivered during 2017.

Freefall is 73.5-metres in length, weighs 1,725 gross tons and features interior design by Andrew Winch. There are berths for 12 guests in six staterooms.

There is also accommodation for a crew of 18 plus the captain.
